Genexo – winner of the Innovation of the Year competition 2015

For the third time, Genexo received an award in the Innovation of the Year competition. In the 2015 edition, Genexo was recognized for the OLED technology applied in iXell® OLED glucometers.

iXell® OLED – Innovation of the Year 2015

iXell® OLED is a glucometer intended for frequent blood glucose controls, e.g. in type 1 diabetes.

Based on the advanced OLED technology, the device features a reader-friendly picture menu to guide the user through the test with simple symbols and easy language. This makes iXell® OLED glucometers suitable for every-day use by both adults and children. Symbols and messages displayed on the OLED screen (in Polish) are intuitive, clear and legible.

One of the innovative functions of iXell® OLED is presentation of average pre- and postprandial blood glucose results as a chart displayed directly on screen – “see and check”. This feature allows for quick evaluation of diabetic control.

The iXell® OLED glucometer is also equipped with a wall charger for easy and comfortable use and exceptionally lightweight construction.

A true technology of tomorrow, iXell® OLED is well ahead of its time. The device complies with the EN ISO 15197:2015 standard (In vitro diagnostic test systems. Requirements for blood-glucose monitoring systems for self-testing in managing diabetes mellitus). Compliance with the standard guarantees accuracy, precision and repeatability of results, as well as robustness of the device which can withstand extreme temperatures, vibration and shaking; it also assures electromagnetic compatibility and no impact of interfering substances.
